IT111-LAB Exercise

1. Students use a search engine to find information about who invented the microprocessor.
ans: Marcian Edward "Ted" Hoff, Jr.
2. Students investigate the computer’s power management settings and create a report on what they discover.
ans: A programming interface (API) from Intel and Microsoft for battery-powered computers that lets programs communicate power requirements to slow down and speed up components.
3. Create a list of components and features that the student should consider when purchasing a computer. They then explain why they made these selections.
ans: Whether for philanthropy or to avoid media scandals, management counts on Purchasing more than ever to buy from diverse suppliers, make environmentally-conscious decisions, and do business ethically.
